A CRANE LOVES TO "KAYAK"

This young crane likes to sit on our kayak

We arrived in Cocoa Beach to enjoy snooping in the shops and a light very inexpensive lunch. We leave in the morning again journeying up the ICW to arrive in St. Augustine by Friday. The ICW is so quiet, no boat traffic at all, only dolphins. They love to swim behind our boat!

At dinner time it is pouring, which is good.

I AM MOTHER

I AM MOTHER along with a wife, friend, sister, aunt and daughter. However, mothering is the most work and time consuming. When one has good friends like I do, work it is not being a friend! When I have such wonderful parents like I do, then being a daughter to them is a pleasure and so on. Once a mother, always a mother. I remember when our boys were very little I asked a mother of teenagers, does it get easier as they age? She said, easy is not the word, different is how she described it. Our duties are constantly changing. We are blessed to have raised three sons that are generous, considerate and loving. Our work has paid off! I am happy I became a mom and so enjoy them into adulthood.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there as you are proud to be a mother and proud of your children as I am. I am spending this day away from our boys but all spoke to me and said they loved me :-)
We leave tomorrow morning for Vero Beach. We will be on the ICW (Intercoastal Waterway) once again traveling northward to our final destination St. Augustine Marine Centre. We have enjoyed our last week here in Stuart, visted the historical downtown, listened to live music and ate at the Sailor's Return restaurant here at the marina.
We have met some great people here and will get reacquainted with them in November as that is when these boaters return here to provision for the Bahamas.
Goodbye Stuart.

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new. -- Rajneesh

HURRICANE SEASON IS FAST APPROACHING

Hurricane season is fast approaching. The hurricane season here is June 1 to November 1 and there were extremely high winds and rain yesterday. While watching tv, they interrupted the program to give continuous warnings. We will travel from Stuart on Monday to St. Augustine Marine Centre. We are scheduled to come out of the water on May 21. This will be well before hurricane season starts. It is extremely hot here, high 30's (90's F) so everything is in slow motion. We do a long walk in the morning to get our exercise. Paul has changed the oil, polished the boat some and I have gone through all the food items. Things that will expire before December go to needy families here in Stuart. There is a box at the marina to deposit food. All the canned goods are good for another year, so they will travel to the Bahamas again!
We did not go out for Paul's birthday so off to historical downtown Stuart for a dinner out tomorrow. An award winning restaurant The Flagler, I'm sure it is awesome! We did walk the boardwalk downtown on Sunday and enjoyed the outdoor amphitheatre where there is music every Sunday. It was an awesome Bluegrass band. There is always something special with live music and the outdoors!
I will take a couple of photos and attach when the internet is a little faster.
